Enfield-Fermi Field Hockey Alumni to Do Battle Saturday

The third annual alumni matchup is slated for 11 a.m. on Oct. 3.

Fermi and Enfield high schools may be consolidated into one following the 2015-16 school year, but the four-decade rivalry between the two crosstown schools continues this weekend.

Alumni of the schools’ field hockey programs will return to the field at the Fermi stadium Saturday, Oct. 3 at 11 a.m. for the third annual matchup of former players.

Last year, nearly 30 alumni participated in a spirited game filled with camaraderie, friendship and more than a touch of still-burning competitive fire.

Players from all eras are invited to join the fun. In past years, a trophy has been awarded to the “most veteran” returnee.

Enfield alumni should wear green shirts, while former Fermi players should don white jerseys.
