Enfield High School Graduate Eclipses College Milestone

WILLIMANTIC, CT — Enfield High School product Hugh Lindo surpassed a milestone on the basketball court Saturday, and is soon about to eclipse a longstanding Eastern Connecticut State University record.

The 6-foot-4 senior forward established a single-game career high of 25 rebounds - including the 1,000th of his college career - as the Warriors defeated the University of Southern Maine by a 73-51 count in the Little East Conference opener for both teams.

Lindo ended the contest with 1,105 career rebounds, just 21 shy of the ECSU record held since 1973 by Lou Chartier.

He also is within striking distance of achieving the 1,000 career point plateau, amassing 925 through Saturday. He is already the program's all-time blocked shot leader with 154.
