Enfield Job Center to Remain Open

Concerns that the Labor Department's Enfield office would close have subsided.

The Connecticut Department of Labor’s Enfield job center will remain open after fear it would be closing, Gov. Dannel P. Malloy’s office announced late last week.

Due to a partnership with the federal Workforce Investment Board, the Enfield office and five similar centers in the state will be designated affiliates of the dozen Labor Department-managed offices, according to the Journal Inquirer.

“This restructuring, without closures, will continue many important services for residents,” Office of Policy and Management Strategic Research and Communications Adviser Christopher McClure stated.
