More than a hundred people were injured and three were reportedly killed by two explosions near the Boston Marathon finish line Monday.

There are multiple reports of victims with missing limbs, bloodied heads and other extremely serious injuries. WBZ-4 reported at least a dozen victims with "grave injuries."

Keith Almeida, 61, was the only Enfield resident registered to run in the race, according to the Boston Athletic Association website. Enfield Patch emailed Almeida Monday night, but has yet to receive a response.

Last year, Almeida finished the marathon in 4 hours, 18 minutes, 10 seconds. The explosions Monday took place around the 4 hour, 10 minute mark.

"This is a horrific day in Boston," Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick said. "My thoughts and prayers are with those who have been injured. I have been in touch with the President, Mayor Menino and our public safety leaders. Our focus is on making sure that the area around Copley Square is safe and secured. I am asking everyone to stay away from Copley Square and let the first responders do their jobs.”
