Enfield Man Arrested After Rear-Ending Car in Massachusetts
The man was under the influence of drugs at the time of the collision Saturday, according to police.

LONGMEADOW, MA - An Enfield man was arrested just over the border in Massachusetts Saturday after smashing his pickup truck into the rear of a car at an intersection, the Longmeadow News reported.
Michael S. McGuane, 30, of 7 Cozy St., was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, and following too closely.
Police said McGuane was lethargic, and he failed a field sobriety test. Officers found numerous pieces of drug paraphernalia and prescription narcotics in his truck, the News said.

The female driver of the car was uninjured, police said.
