Enfield Mom: Daughter Given Pot-Laced Lollipop in School

Enfield Police reportedly are investigating the incident that occurred Monday at Enfield High School.

An Enfield mother reportedly says she wants school and police officials to investigate what her daughter was hospitalized after eating what she believes was a lollipop laced with pot.

According to WFSB, Eva Reyes-Portis said her daughter, who attends Enfield High School, was hospitalized overnight after having a dangerous reaction to the lollipops she said were distributed in the school cafeteria on Monday.

Reyes-Portis told the television station that her daughter told her the lollipops were shaped like butterflies and stars and “she said they tasted pretty good.” She said she believes they were “Cannabis Pops.”
