Enfield Obituary: Albert Grenier, 76

Condolences to his family and friends.

Albert W. “Al” Grenier, 76, of Enfield, loving husband of 48 years to Dianne (Lugas) Grenier entered into Eternal Rest on Tuesday, November 1, 2016, in the comfort of his home surrounded by his loving family.

Al was born July 29, 1940, in Haverhill, NH the son of the late Ralph W. and Hilda C. (Boutin) Grenier. He proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Al worked as a foreman throughout the area with several construction companies. He worked several years with Coven Construction, Della Construction, Road’s Construction and later with Mather Construction from which he retired in 2000.

Al was a member of the John Maciolek American Legion Post 154 in Enfield, a parishioner and collector at St. Adalbert’s Church and former member of the Knights of Columbus Washington Irving Council #50 in Enfield. Al enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, and woodworking and was an avid fan of NASCAR.

In addition to his wife, Dianne, Al is also survived by three children, Alan Grenier of Enfield, Michelle Grenier of Manchester and Jennifer Curtis-Gray and her husband, Corey of Willimantic; his two beloved grandchildren, Noah and Kenleigh Curtis-Gray.

Al’s family would like to thank Dr. O’Neill and the nurses and staff of Home & Community for the wonderful and compassionate care he received.

Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family on Saturday, November 5, 2016, from 10 am to 12 noon at the Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd., Enfield. A funeral procession will gather at 12 noon for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 12:30 pm at St. Adalbert’s Church. Burial with military honors will follow in St. Adalbert’s Cemetery.
