Enfield Obituary: Cecile Roy, 86

Cecile M. (Montminy) Roy, 86, of Enfield, beloved wife of Sylvio P. Roy, died Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at Parkway Pavilion Health Care Center, Enfield.

She was born on July 18, 1929, daughter of the late Jules and Rose (Vaillancourt) Montminy. Cecile has resided in Enfield for 52 years. Before retiring in 1990 she was employed by Terry Stream Turbine, Windsor as a crane operator for 22 years. Cecile was a parishioner of St. Bernard Church, Enfield and enjoyed traveling, bingo and going to the casino.

She leaves three children, Sylvia Drabkin and her husband, James of Enfield, Roger Roy and his wife, Veronica of Windsor and Raymond Roy and his partner, Kimberly Wales of Wilbraham, MA; three sisters, Lillian Cyr, Nannette Goudreau and Pauline Houle all in Berlin, NH; nine grandchildren, John, Jessica, Cynthia, Sandra, Paula, Michael, Gregory, Theresa and Sara and many great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and many niece and nephews. She was predeceased by siblings, Aime, Lucien, Ernest, Edward and Joseph Montminy and Beatrice Bertin and Doris Montminy.

Family and friends may gather on Monday, October 26 at 9:30 a.m. at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Road, Enfield, for a procession to St. Bernard Church, 426 Hazard Avenue, Enfield, where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Bernard’s Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, October 25 from 3 to 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
