
Edwin S. Waleryszak, 91, of Ellington, husband of the late Bertha (Gracewski) Waleryszak , his beloved bride for 64 years, entered into eternal peace Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at Manchester Memorial Hospital.
A son of the late Stanley and Frances (Szarek) Waleryszak, Ed was born in Coventry, RI and was raised in Exeter, NH. He lived in Enfield for most of his life, before moving to Ellington. He served his country honorably and was a WW II Navy Veteran. He was a member of the John Maciolek Post# 154 American Legion. Following his service, he was employed by BRAC and retired after 40 years.
He and Bertha both loved Polka Dancing. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed spending time hunting and fishing. He was a talented handyman around the house, and also enjoyed gardening.

He is survived by two sons, Edwin M. Waleryszak and his wife Marie of Davidsonville, MD, David Waleryszak and his wife Donna of Enfield; a daughter, Lisa Gotschall and her fiancé Ted Urban of West Friendship, MD; a sister, Loretta Brown of Portsmouth, NH; four grandchildren, Lauren King and her husband Jeff, Andrea Waleryszak and her husband Brad, Andrew and Christopher Gotschall; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his wife, Ed was predeceased by two brothers, one sister, and a son-in-law John Gotschall.
The family would like to thank the entire staff at The Village at Buckland Court for their love and compassion in caring for Edwin while he was a resident.
