Enfield Obituary: Elizabeth Bowen, 84

Elizabeth Ann (Brooks) Bowen, 84, of Enfield, loving wife of 63 years to Robert Bowen, Sr. entered into Eternal Rest on Wednesday, October 28, 2015, at Evergreen Health Care Center with her family by her side.

Elizabeth was born July 8, 1931, in Hartford, the daughter of the late Fredrick and Adele (Haraburda) Brooks. She retired in 1995 from Hallmark Cards after 25 years. She enjoyed playing Bingo, but cherished spending time with her family.

In addition to her husband, she is also survived by four children, Linda Wine of Ludlow, MA, Corinne Bowen of Enfield, Maureen Turney and her husband, James of Bolton, Robert Bowen, Jr. and his wife, Diane of New Hartford; a sister, Beverly Pietraroia and her husband, Michael of Windsor; 6 grandchildren; a step-grandchild; three great grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Betsy Brooks of Virginia and several nieces and nephews. Elizabeth was predeceased by her brother, Fred Brooks.

Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family during visiting hours on Monday, November 2, 2015, from 10 am to 11 am at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd., Enfield. A funeral service will be celebrated at 11 am at the funeral home. Graveside services will be held privately.
