Enfield Obituary: Ellen Flynn, 83

Ellen Ann Flynn, 83, of Enfield, beloved wife of James Flynn for 61 years, entered into eternal peace Friday November 11, 2016 at Parkway Pavilion in Enfield.

The daughter of the late Joseph and Rosa (Ahern) Reynolds, Ellen was born in Hartford, and was raised in West Hartford. She was a resident of the Enfield community since 1960 and was a charter communicant of Holy Family Church in Enfield, as well as a member of the Church Ladies Guild where she served as former Vice President.

Ellen was employed as Program Director at Kimberly Hall and the former Windsor Hall where she retired after several years. She was active in the Enfield Women's Club and enjoyed oil painting and crocheting.

Besides her husband Jim, Ellen is survived by a son, Timothy J. Flynn and his wife Jan of Enfield, and a daughter Megan Angell and her husband Stewart of Springfield, MA; a sister, Rosa Jane Sullivan of Wethersfield; two grandchildren, Quinn and Kelsea Angell. Ellen was predeceased by her son, Mark J. Flynn.

Visitation hours will be held from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd., Enfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 16 , 2016 at Holy Family Church, 23 Simon Rd., Enfield followed by burial at St. Patrick's King St. Cemetery.
