Enfield Obituary: Emily Kounetis, 75

Emily E. (Browning) Kounetis, 75, of Enfield wife of the late Richard Kounetis entered into Eternal Rest on Thursday, February 8, 2018.

Emily was born March 25, 1942 in Norwich, daughter of the late Kenneth and Mary (Barr) Browning. Emily was an active parishioner of St. Patrick's Church where she sang in the choir and often volunteered. She enjoyed working with electronics, painting, drawing, playing baseball, bowling, and the outdoors especially, fishing and hiking.

She is survived by three children, Richard F. Kounetis of Enfield, Charles E. Kounetis of McMinnville, TN and Susan Kounetis of Broad Brook; two grandchildren, Adam Schillinger (Shanae) of Germany; Mary Beth Mazzarella (Adam) of Wallingford; three great-grandchildren, Lydia, Scott, and Sebastian Pellin.

Visiting hour for Emily will be Thursday, February 15, 2018, from 8:30 to 9:30 am at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd., Enfield. Funeral procession will form at 9:30 am at the funeral home for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10 am at St. Patrick's Church. Burial will follow in St. Patrick's King Street Cemetery.
