
George Kasperan, Jr., 66, of Tolland, loving husband of 47 years to Theresa (Ulrich) Kasperan, passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2016 at Rockville General Hospital.
Born in Shenandoah, PA, the son of the late George and Elizabeth (Hyland) Kasperan, he grew up in Vernon and lived in Enfield before moving to Tolland 26 years ago. He was a graduate of Rockville High School, Class of 1968. Prior to his retirement, George owned and operated the former Performance Unlimited Speed Shop in Enfield for many years. He loved cars, racing, and NASCAR. George built and raced a dragster for many years, and he was very proud of his 1935 Chevy street rod. He was an avid bowler and was a member of the TNBA Bowling League.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his beloved children, Mark Kasperan and his wife Jennifer of Stafford Springs, and Lisa Boya and her husband Patrick of Vernon; four grandchildren, Madison Dion, Kasie Kasperan, and Alyssa and Patrick Boya; four sisters, Mary Mullen of Vernon, Kathryn Linnell and her husband Michael of Enfield, Elizabeth Heim of Enfield, and Ann Dulude and her husband Robert of Turnersville, NJ; three brothers-in-law, George Ulrich and his wife Gloria of Tolland, Thomas Ulrich and his wife Kathleen of Sun City Center, FL and Timothy Ulrich of Tolland, and several nieces and nephews. George was also predeceased by two brothers-in-law, Robert Mullen and Robert Heim.

His family will receive friends for calling hours on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 from 5 – 8 p.m. at the Ladd-Turkington & Carmon Funeral Home, 551 Talcottville Road (Route 83), Vernon. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at 9 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Bernard's Church, 25 St. Bernard Terrace, Rockville. Burial will follow in St. Bernard Cemetery, Rockville.
