
Jeanne (Goyette) Wells, 85, of Enfield, entered peacefully into Eternal Life on Thursday Nov. 17, 2016 at The Suffield House. Jeanne was the beloved wife of 56 years to the late John “Jack” Wells.
She was born on June 7, 1931 in Chicopee, MA the daughter of the late George and Eva (Piquette) Goyette. Jeanne was a graduate of Chicopee H.S. Class of 1949. She had resided in Suffield for the past 3 years, in Enfield for 56 years and prior to that in Willimansett section of Chicopee, MA.
Prior to retiring Jeanne’s twenty year career in clerical and secretarial work was with Peasley-Wells, Inc, W. Springfield, MA, Terry Turbine, Windsor, and Casual Corner, Enfield. Jeanne loved to travel, enjoying trips to Italy, Alaska, Southwest United States, Jamaica, Europe, Florida and California, she also loved gardening and flowers. She was a parishioner of St. Patrick Church and member of the Choir and Alter Society and was a Cub Scout Leader.

Jeanne is survived by her three sons; Mark Wells and his wife, Beverly of Manchester, John Wells and his wife Lori of Enfield, and Daniel Wells and his wife Alison also of Enfield, his six grandchildren; Christopher & wife Chantal, Trevor, Ashley Cote and husband Troy, Rachel Miner & husband Geoff, Matthew Wells & wife Amanda and Joshua Wells, her two great-granddaughters; Madelin and Charlotte. She is also survived by a sister; Estelle Walunas of Southampton, MA and a sister-in-law; Lorraine Goyette of Chicopee, MA, along with several nieces and nephews. Jeanne was also predeceased by a son; Philip Wells (1992) a brother; Raymond Goyette, a brother and sister-in-law; Robert & Vera Goyette and brother-in-law; George Walunas.
Relatives and friends may gather with the family during calling hours on Sunday Nov. 20, 2016 from 1:00 to 4:00 at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels in Enfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Mon. Nov. 21, 2016 at 10:00 am in St. Patrick Church in Enfield (Please meet at Church). Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Fairview Cemetery in New Britain.
