Enfield Obituary: Joseph "Jeff" Perkins, 49

Condolences to his family and friends.

Joseph Jeffery “Jeff” Perkins II, 49, of Rocky Hill, passed away peacefully at home on October 18, 2015, surrounded by his loving family and friends, following a long struggle with brain cancer.

Jeff is survived by the love of his life - his wife and high school sweetheart, Luellen (Lemay) Perkins. They celebrated their 27th wedding anniversary on October 8, 2015. Jeff graduated from Enrico Fermi High School, (Enfield) Class of 1985, and was a member of the 1982-1983 Fermi State Championship Hockey Team.

Jeff will be deeply missed by all, but especially Luey and their 3 daughters, (with Daddy’s special nicknames), Leah (Leedle), Emily (Bones), and Caitlin (Pork).

With the help of his Uncle John Perkins, Jeff started his own business, CEILCO CONTRACTORS/Fire and Water Damage of West Hartford. Jeff owned and operated CEILCO for over thirty years.

Jeff is survived by his parents, Joseph J. and Carol (Ewing) Perkins of Enfield, and his siblings, Andrew of Old Saybrook; Julie (Scot) Masamery of Somers; Matthew (Gretchen) of Enfield; and Adam (Tasia) of Hebron; his parents-in-law, Leo and Carolyn Lemay of Zephyrhills, FL; and in-laws Alison (Dan) Wells of Enfield, and Chris (Kati) Lemay of Longmeadow, MA. Jeff also left behind many aunts and uncles, including his Godmother Nancy Ewing and Godfather Michael Perkins, 11 nieces and nephews including his Godson Matthew Wells, and 2 great-nieces.

Jeff had many special memories of summers spent at Cornfield Point in Old Saybrook, as well as time on his boat on Long Island Sound and at his favorite spot Claudio‘s.

Jeff was pre-deceased by his grandparents Dr. Joseph and Loretta Perkins and Mr. David and Marjorie Ewing. Jeff is now reunited with the other love of his life and faithful furry companion Junior Johnson Perkins.

The Perkins family would also like to extend their deepest appreciation to Jeff’s neurologist team, Dr. Alexandra Flowers and Dr. David Kvam.

Relatives and friends are invited to the Giuliano-Sagarino Funeral Home at BROOKLAWN, 511 Brook St. Rocky Hill, Thursday from 4-7pm.
