Enfield Obituary: Katina Naiman, 81

Katina Naiman, 81, of Holyoke, MA, entered into eternal peace, Sunday, July 30, 2017.

Born July 12, 1936 in Istanbul, Turkey, Katina was the daughter of the late Demos and Froso (Sekeriasdoy) Ponci. Prior to moving to Holyoke 11 years ago, Katina had resided in Enfield for over 20 years. She enjoyed bingo, crocheting and time spent with her family. but Katina took special delight in spoiling her granddaughter.

A loving mother, grandmother and sister, Katina is survived by her daughters, Anna Carol Naiman and her companion Stephen Avsevich, of Holyoke and Lisa Jo Hartman of Springfield, MA. She also leaves her granddaughter, Arianna K. Grieve and sisters Teli and Smaro both of Athens Greece.

Calling hours will be on Thursday August 3, 2017 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd., Enfield. A Memorial Service will follow at 7 p.m.

In lieu of flowers Katina’s family ask that donations be made to the American Lung Association.
