Enfield Obituary: Kyle Bookholz, 53

Condolences to his family and friends.

Kyle William Bookholz, 53, formerly of Enfield and Manchester, died June 11, 2017, in New York after a two-year battle with cancer.

Kyle graduated from Enrico Fermi High School in 1981 and subsequently attended Western New England College (1981 to 1983) and Emerson College (1983 to 1985), graduating with a degree in broadcast journalism. He subsequently worked as a systems analyst at The Hartford (1997 to 2003) and as a senior program analyst at NY Magic Inc. (2004 to 2010), ProSight Specialty Insurance (2010 to 2012), and Tokio Marine HCC (2012 to 2017).

Kyle was an avid fan of Boston sports, especially the Red Sox, as well as the music of the British Invasion bands of the 1960s. Anyone who knew Kyle knew he could be sarcastic and blunt, but he was also loyal, affable, and sincere. Moreover, it was his candor, acerbic wit, and sardonic humor that endeared him to his friends, and he will be remembered by them for his hulking frame, the mischievous twinkle in his eye, and his crooked grin.
