She worked as a cashier for 30 years with Food Mart in Enfield.

Mary Johnson Winch left this life on Aug. 30, 2018 with her husband John (of 56 years) and daughter Martha (Marti), each holding her hands. She is preceded in death by her father Robert Johnson and mother Helen Johnson, both from East Hartford.

Mary leaves three children, Robert in Charleston, SC (with wife Janet), Martha (Marti) at home and John in Temple, GA. She also leaves a sister, Nell Dennis (husband Kirby) and three grandchildren, Sara, Nicholas and Hayden.

Mary lived most of her life in Enfield, where she worked as a cashier for 30 years with Food Mart, moving to Florida in 2003 to be close to her grandchildren. Mary always loved working, so she took a job as a cashier in the cafeteria at Haggerty High School in Oviedo, FL and loved the kids, and the girls and guys she worked with.
