Nancy J. (Hunter) Hartley of Venice, Florida, widow of the late Allan G. Hartley, passed away on November 5, 2015.
The daughter of the late Robert R. Hunter and Mildred (Peck) Hunter, Nancy was born in Hartford on June 11, 1926. She was a graduate of the East Hartford High School Class of 1943 and later worked for Pratt & Whitney and Connecticut Light & Power.
Nancy and Allan were married in 1946, and they were together for more than 68 years until his passing earlier this year. She lived in East Hartford, Enfield, Somers, Stafford, and Union before retiring to Florida in the 1980s. While living in Connecticut, Nancy cherished her time with family and friends, and vacations with Allan. She enjoyed being with old and new friends in Florida, and spent many happy hours at Venice’s beaches collecting shells and shark teeth.
