
Suzanne “Sue” (Voyer) Paulhus, 86, of the Hazardville section of Enfield, widow of Clarence Paulhus, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2015 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Sue was born and raised in Woonsocket, RI moving to the Enfield community in 1954 and was a graduate of Riviera College in Nashua, NH. She was employed by the former New England Telephone, a bridal consultant for J.C. Penny and as a reporter for the Enfield Press with her own by-line “Hazardville Events.” Sue was a longtime faithful communicant of St. Bernard Church serving as a member of the parish choir and the first cantor in many Enfield area churches. She also served as past president and member of the Rosary Guild and Parish Council; CCD teacher and St. Bernard School librarian. Sue was an accomplished crafter, quilter, and a member of the Shawl ministry at the church. She was a member of the Enfield Choral Society, Enfield Gold Tones, Red Hat Society and the Enfield Friends of the Library.
She and Clarence visited 48 of the 50 states, missing only AZ and NM. Known for her smile, Sue considered her two greatest achievements being married to her husband Clarence for 49 years and raising her children.

Sue is survived by her loving children, Felice Thompson and her husband Skip of Hampden, MA, Celeste Berlin and her husband Marty of Girard, PA, Marc Paulhus of Hendersonville, NC; a daughter-in-law, Bonnie of Findlay, OH; ten grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Besides her husband, Sue was predeceased by a son, Claude M. Paulhus.
Sue’s family will receive relatives and friends at the Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Road, Enfield on Friday December 11, 2015 from 5-8 p.m. A funeral procession will form at the funeral home on Saturday Dec. 12, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Bernard Church, 426 Hazard Ave. (R oute190). Burial will follow in Hazardville Cemetery.
