Enfield Obituary: Jerzy Charubin, 48

Condolences to his family and friends.

Jerzy M. Charubin, 48, of Enfield, beloved husband of Elzbieta (Samul) Charubin for 25 years, entered into eternal peace on Tuesday September 1, 2015 at Yale New Haven Hospital.

The son of the late Stanislaw Charubin and Janina Siwik, of Poland, Jerzy was born in Kolno and raised in Czerwone Poland. He Emigrated from Poland to the United States 21 years ago and lived in Boston before moving to Enfield where he has lived for the past 15 years. He was employed as a carpenter for most of his life and enjoyed working with his hands. He was a member of St. Bernard Parish in Enfield. In his free time, Jerzy loved spending time with his family and friends. He also loved camping and being in the outdoors.

Besides his wife and mother, Jerzy is survived by his three children, Patrycja Charubin of Boston, and Monica and Thomas Charubin at home; a brother, Mariusz Charubin of Poland; four sisters, Grazyna Charubin , Hanna Rydelek, Bozena Wieczorek, and Renata Nerko all of Poland; his mother-in-law, Maria Samul of Poland; two sisters-in-law, Anna Mazurek and her husband Marek of Boston, and Barbara Wyroba of AZ; a brother-in-law, Radek Samul and family in Poland; nephews, Norbert and David, and nieces, Aneta and Ola, as well as six additional nephews and three nieces. Jerzy was also predeceased by his father-in-law, Tadeusz Samul.

Visitation hours will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Friday Sept. 4, 2015 at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd., Enfield. Family and friends may gather at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday September 5, 2015 at Leete-Stevens for a procession to St. Bernard Church in Enfield for a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial. Committal will follow at St. Patrick’s King St. Cemetery.
