Enfield Obituary: William Storey, 82

William E. “Pops” Storey, 82, of Enfield, loving husband of the late Janet (Graves) Storey passed away on Friday, November 6, 2015, at St. Francis Hospital with his family by his side.

Bill was born March 31, 1933, in Hartford, the son of the late Clarence Storey and Beulah (Shattuck) Fowler. Bill proudly served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He retired from ABB in 1994 after 35 years. Bill enjoyed playing pool and was a member of the APA Pool League. He was an avid gardener and Jack of all Trades. He repaired vehicles and taught the neighborhood kids.

Bill is survived by five children, Barbara Storey of Mesa, AZ, William E. Storey, II and his wife, Sally of Suffield, Angela Sanchez and her husband, Juan of Boynton Beach, FL, Judy Storey of Enfield, and Yvonne Foley and her husband, Patrick of Stafford. Pops is also survived by ten grandchildren, John, Ulani, Brenda, William III, Andrew, Shannon, Megan, Sarah, Ryan and Maria; seven great-grandchildren, Jacquie, Summer, Christopher, Tamiya, Troy, Aiden and Christopher Lucas; a half-brother, Charles Fowler of Enfield; two half-sisters, Diane Knox and her husband, Thomas of CA and Elaine Hodgdon and her husband, Kenneth of Enfield; several nieces, nephews and the family pets. Bill was predeceased by a brother, Richard Storey.

There are no calling hours. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, November 11, 2015, at 11 am in Hazardville Cemetery, Enfield.
