Enfield Opens Cooling Centers
As the weather heats up, the town has facilities where residents can keep cool.
With the current forecast of a heat wave over the next several days the Enfield Office of Emergency Management has announced which facilities have been designated as cooling centers for the public.
- Enfield Senior Center, 299 Elm St., is open during normal business hours as a cooling center.
- Enfield Public Library, 104 Middle Rd. and the Pearl Street Library at 759 Pearl St., are also available as cooling centers.
- The Enfield Police Department Lobby, 293 Elm Street is available as a cooling center 24 hours per day.
