UPDATE: Man Faces Home Invasion, Kidnapping Charges in Enfield
The suspect is a Vernon man who reportedly broke into a home and kidnapped his estranged wife.

Update: 7:18 a.m., May 4:
A man is in custody facing home invasion, kidnapping and assault charges in connection with the kidnapping and assault of his estranged wife, according to a report.
Christopher M. Spring, 38, of 200 E. Main St., Vernon, is being held on $250,000 bond set on charges of second-degree strangulation, first-degree reckless endangerment, home invasion, first-degree kidnapping and third-degree assault, according to Enfield Police.

Spring is accused of invading the home where his estranged wife was staying at about 2:30 a.m. Sunday. Spring reportedly choked the woman, forced her into a car and assaulted her as he drove her to a home in South Windsor, according to The Courant. Spring was found a short time later and the woman was treated at Rockville General Hospital, according to The Courant story that can be found here.

It’s unclear exactly what occurred but Enfield Police are reportedly investigating a possible home invasion and abduction early Sunday morning in Enfield.
Enfield police were called to 34 Spring St. about 2:30 a.m., following an initial report indicating that a woman was abducted by her own husband or boyfriend, according to NBC Connecticut.
Police said the woman was found alone at a South Windsor home at 4:30 a.m. and that the vehicle she was reported missing in was there.
Enfield police told NBC Connecticut they’re trying to determine whether the woman was kidnapped.
