State Police Investigate Near Enfield Motorcycle Club

ENFIELD, CT — Moody Road reopened Thursday evening after being closed for much of the day near the local headquarters of the Outlaws motorcycle club during an ongoing police investigation.

Enfield Police Chief Alaric J. Fox told Patch at 7:29 p.m. that the road “has been reopened as of a short time ago.”

An eyewitness told Patch they saw a SWAT team near the site around sunrise. The Connecticut State Police Public Information Office did not confirm that detail, saying only that the activity was due to an active and ongoing investigation and that it had no additional information to provide.

Bus Stops Were Canceled

Earlier Thursday, Magic Carpet Enfield said the Annex and Print Shop Road stops were canceled until Moody Road reopened.

The location is the local headquarters of the Outlaws motorcycle club. Patch previously reported on a separate 2021 state police search at the property involving a homicide case. Officials have not linked Thursday’s activity to that earlier investigation.
