Enfield Police Searching for Bank Robbery Suspect
The man handed a teller a note and escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash.

ENFIELD, CT — A man robbed an Enfield bank of an undisclosed amount of cash early Tuesday afternoon, and police have released a photo asking for the public's help in identifying the suspect.
Police said officers were dispatched around 12:40 p.m. to the Santander Bank in the Brookside Plaza on Hazard Avenue for a report of a bank robbery. The suspect had fled before they arrived.
Police said the suspect entered the bank, approached a teller and handed her a note which read, “This is a bank robbery, No die packs.” The suspect did not show or imply that he had a weapon, and he made off with an undetermined amount of cash.

No one was injured during the robbery, police said.
Officers checked the area with the assistance of a canine unit, but were unable to locate the suspect. A photo of the suspect was obtained from surveillance cameras, and the investigation is ongoing at this time, police said.

The suspect is described as a black male, about 5-foot-6, 160 lbs., wearing a brown hat, tan dress jacket, khaki pants and brown boots.
