Enfield Police Warn of Electric Company Scam

Two men posing as electric company employees gained access to a home Monday.

ENFIELD, CT — The Enfield Police Department is cautioning residents to be aware of people posing as electric company employees in an attempt to gain access to homes.

On Monday, police received a report of two white men in their 40s or 50s who gained access to a home by purporting to be from the electric company.

Anyone who sees suspicious activity or has a similar encounter is encourage to call the police at 860-763-6400.

Any unscheduled visit by utility companies should be confirmed with the actual company prior to letting anyone in your home, police said.
