Enfield Product Named All-American, to Play in National College All-Star Game
The alumnus of Enfield High School is one of 20 seniors chosen to play in Saturday's national showcase.

WILLIMANTIC, CT — Eastern Connecticut State University senior forward Hugh Lindo of Enfield has been selected as one of two New England players to compete in the Division III Senior College All-Star Game, sponsored by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) and Reese’s.
The annual national all-star game will be played at the Salem (Va.) Civic Center Saturday at 3:30 p.m., preceding the NCAA Division III national championship game, scheduled for 6 p.m.
The 6-foot-4 inch Lindo was the only selection from the Little East Conference and was one of New England’s two designated representatives, joining Trinity College forward Edward Oqundeko. Both will compete for the East team.

Lindo, a Division III third team All-American, three-time LEC first-team all-star, four-time All-Defensive Team pick and two-time LEC Defensive Player-of-the-Year, becomes Eastern’s second player in four years to be selected to compete in the prestigious game, following All-America guard Mike Garrow in 2014.
A ten-member East team will face a ten-member West squad. Two seniors were picked from each of eight regions, with two more being selected via on-line voting by D3hoops.com and two additional seniors earning selections from the NABC committee.

With Lindo, Eastern (21-9) won four straight LEC regular-season titles and captured the LEC tournament championship earlier this month, helping the Warriors to three 20-win seasons. He left the program as the all-time rebounding (1,296) and blocked shot leaders (183) and scored over 1,000-points (1,288) with a 56.0 career field goal percentage.
This past year, Lindo set personal season-highs in scoring (15.1) and rebounding (12.6) averages. In the LEC, he was first in rebounding average, fourth in field goal percentage (56.1) and fourth in blocked shot average (1.3). He currently ranks in a tie for third nationally in double-doubles (21) and sixth in rebounding.
