Enfield Public Schools Offering Access to Student Health Records

The school district plans on destroying the records and is offering students and their families copies of the documents.

The Enfield school superintendent has announced that his office is preparing to destroy health school records of students who graduated in 2009 from both Enfield and Enrico Fermi High Schools.

Special education records for 2009 also will be purged, according an announcement from the superintendent’s office. The destruction of the former students’ records is in keeping of state law, according to the superintendent.

“These records may be needed for Social Security benefits or other purposes. No information from this record will be maintained,” according to the announcement.

Former students who would like to obtain their health or special education records should contact the Pupil Personnel Services Department at 860-253-6536.

the records will be destroyed after Aug. 31.
