Enfield Recycling Mascot Visits Hazardville Memorial Elementary School
Meredith Neiman's first grade class earned a pizza party for submitting the winning name for the mascot.

Recently the students of Meredith Neiman’s first grade class at Hazardville Memorial Elementary School were treated to a pizza party and visit from "Can-Do," the town of Enfield's recycling mascot.
According to a post on Enfield Patch, earlier in the school year, a panda visited all of the public elementary schools. Students were told the panda was Enfield's recycling mascot and were asked to give it a name.
Every classroom had the opportunity to submit a name and "Can-Do," the name submitted by Neiman's class, was chosen. The pizza party was the student's prize for submitting the winning entry.
The recycling mascot and contest are part of the town of Enfield's continued recycling awareness campaign to recognize and celebrate the positive impact of reducing, reusing, and recycling.
