ENFIELD, CT — An Enfield man was arrested by East Windsor police Sunday on a warrant in connection with a stabbing incident at his home in mid-March.

David Deschenes, 43, was charged with first-degree reckless endangerment, second-degree assault, second-degree threatening and second-degree breach of peace. He was held overnight in lieu of a $100,000 court-set bond, and was slated for arraignment Monday in Hartford Superior Court, Police Chief Alaric Fox said.

On March 14, police were called to a house on Guild St., and found a victim bleeding from the left side of his neck. A witness told police the homeowner, Deschenes, and the stabbing victim had argued over money, and after the stabbing, Deschenes had left the scene, Fox said.

The victim was transported to an area hospital with an inch and a half stab wound. A folding knife said to be used in the attack was found in the house, Fox said.

A warrant was approved for Deschenes' arrest, and around 5 p.m. Sunday, Enfield police went to meet an East Windsor officer who had picked up Deschenes on the warrant, Fox said.
