Enfield Resident's Work on Display at Duncaster During March
The works of Enfield artist Dian Kingsbury will be displayed at the Duncaster Art Gallery throughout the month of March.

The works of Enfield artist Dian Kingsbury will be displayed at the Duncaster Art Gallery throughout the month of March. The exhibit, entitled “What Takes My Fancy” will feature an eclectic trip through shapes, colors and varied subjects. The opening reception will be on Sunday, Mar. 5 at 4 p.m. The exhibit will be open to the public weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. until March 31. The gallery is located on the Duncaster campus at 40 Loeffler Road.
Kingbury’s work in soft pastels covers a broad scope of subjects ranging from florals, still lifes, animals, people, and landscapes. This award-winning artist has had entries in the Academic Artists show, the Tolland Art Association Exhibit, numerous Tobacco Valley Artists shows, and the Springfield Art League’s Fine Art at the Quadrangle show. Most recently, she received an award from the Piedmont Show in Somers, CT. In July 2013, Dian was featured in a two-woman show, “The Mixing of the Mediums,” at The Affordable Framing + Gallery in Windsor Locks, CT. In August, she exhibited with several other CT Pastel Society Members in the “Color Abounds” show at Hartford Fine Art and Framing in E. Hartford, CT.
Kingsbury is an active member of Connecticut Women Artists (CWA), the Tobacco Valley Artists Association (TVAA), and of the Connecticut Pastel Society (CPS). She currently serves on the Board of CWA, and over a period of many years, has also served as a President of the Pioneer Valley Decorative Painters; on the Board of the Springfield Art League; and as a Vice President of the Tobacco Valley Artists Association.

Attendance for the opening reception on Mar. 5 is free and open to the public; however, advance registration is required. Visitors are welcome to view the exhibit weekdays in February from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
