Enfield Road Closed Due to Head-On Collision

ENFIELD, CT — An Enfield road used by many motorists as a shortcut to and from the center of town is closed temporarily due to a two-car accident, police said.

Beech Road is shut down at both Middle and South roads while investigators work at the scene of a head-on collision, Lt. Mark Squires said.

At least one person was transported to a hospital with what was described as minor injuries, Squires said.

The road is expected to re-open shortly after 6 p.m., he added.
