Enfield Rotary Club Sponsors 5K Charity Run/Walk on May 5th

Rotary's seventh annual Cinco K Mayo 5K Charity Run/Walk starts at 9:00 a.m. on Moody Rd. near the former Enrico Fermi High School.

Cinco K Mayo registration opens at 8:00 a.m. and the run/walk begins at 9:00 a.m. Professional chip timing will be provided by Timing Plus New England for the USA/TF certified course. Link to online registration at www.enfieldcincokmayo.com. Registration forms can also be downloaded from www.enfieldctrotary.org. Advance entry fees are $25 for runners and $20 for walkers. Day of race fees are $35 and $30 respectively. Children 10 and younger run or walk free-of-charge. T-shirts are guaranteed for participants who register by April 25.

This year’s Cinco K Mayo event is being co-sponsored by Chicago Sam’s Sports Bar & Grille and USA Hauling & Recyling, Inc., both in Enfield. Chicago Sam’s at 95 Elm St. will host an after-race party beginning at 11:00 a.m., featuring taco lunch specials and dollar-off coupons for everyone wearing Cinco K Mayo t-shirts.

Proceeds from the run/walk will benefit community service projects sponsored by the Rotary Club, as well as Rotary scholarships for both college and high school students.
