Enfield School Board Trims $2.7 Million From Budget
Teaching positions will be left vacant, school administrations will be restructured under the new budget plan.

The Enfield Board of Education has voted to trim nearly $2.7 million from next year’s education budget.
With a 8-0 vote Tuesday, the board approved the fiscal plan of Superintendent Jeffrey Schumann that meets the $65.9 million budget that was approved earlier this month by the town council, according to The Courant.

The revised budget will mean there will be restructuring of staffing at various levels including leaving 14 anticipated teaching positions vacant; eliminating two information technology positions that are now shared by the town and the schools; and the reorganization of 15 school administrator positions.
