Enfield School Officials Discuss Halloween Policy

The recent outbreak of clown-related threats prompted discussion at a monthly elementary school principals meeting.

ENFIELD, CT — In response to recent clown-related threats, Enfield elementary school principals met with the administration Thursday to discuss the upcoming Halloween season.

WFSB-TV reported that unlike New Haven schools, which has banned clown costumes this season, Enfield officials did not place any limitations on costumes, other than emphasizing the long-standing policy of not allowing face coverings or masks.

Threats of evil clowns have been posted on social media sites in a number of communities, both in Connecticut and nationwide.
