Enfield Schools To Dismiss Early Wednesday And Thursday Due To Heat

ENFIELD, CT — Excessive heat conditions for the next two days have caused Enfield school officials to shorten the class schedule for Wednesday and Thursday.

Students will be dismissed early on those days following this schedule:

  • Eagle Academy - noon
  • Enfield Transitional Learning Academy - noon
  • high school - 12:20
  • middle school - 1:00
  • intermediate (3-5) - 1:35
  • primary (K-2) - 1:50

According to the National Weather Service, high temperatures are expected to reach 94 Wednesday and 96 Thursday, with heat index values as high as 101 each day.
