Enfield Senior Minor Repair Program Will Resume April 5

Appointment requests can be submitted beginning March 14.

The Enfield Department of Social Services on behalf of the Commission on Aging is happy to announce the restart of the Enfield Senior Minor Repair Program for 2022. The program focuses on performing minor repairs, at no cost, in Senior’s age 60 and over, homes. We will begin taking requests for appointments on March 14, 2022 by calling 860 253-6396 and will start work on Tuesday, April 5. Appointments are on a first come first serve basis and will be filled on Tuesdays. It should be noted that the pandemic continues to affect how we interact with residents so, like last year, volunteers will exercise present CDC and state guidelines for the use of masks and gloves, while indoors, as much as is feasible. Residents are free to request the volunteers wear a mask and/or use gloves as much as is feasible to perform the task requested. Residents are asked to maintain social distancing as much as is feasibly possible.
