Enfield Sweeps Fermi in Crosstown Volleyball Matchup

Visiting Raiders shut out the Falcons 3-0 Friday evening.

In the first of two meetings this season between crosstown rivals, the Enfield High School boys volleyball team got the better of host Fermi Friday, shutting out the Falcons 3-0.

Game scores were 25-12, 25-13 and 25-16.

Kyle Maynard led the Raider attack with 12 kills, three aces and seven digs.

"Against Farmington, Kyle really did great, and against our biggest competition, he has really excelled this year," Enfield head coach Judy Joslin said.

Zach Corso contributed 16 digs to the Enfield victory.

Fermi was led by Justin Rush (two kills, three blocks, three digs) and Josh Liebla (two kills, one ace).

The two schools are scheduled to meet again May 23.

Enfield (3-2) travels to Xavier Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. Fermi (0-3) is idle until April 22, when it hosts Maloney at 5 p.m.
