Enfield Town Manager Coppler Submits Resignation

After serving nine years in Enfield, Coppler has accepted a city manager position in Michigan.

Enfield Town Manager Matthew Coppler has announced his resignation, effective Sept. 25.

At a special Town Council meeting Monday night, Coppler submitted a 60-day notice of his intent to resign so that he can become city manager of Lincoln Park, MI.

Coppler became Enfield’s town manager in 2006.

He cited as among his accomplishments during his tenure, the Roads 2010 and Roads 2015 projects; the new construction and renovation of Enfield High School; improvement of the town employee safety and continued progress on the Thompsonville Transit Center.

Coppler said in a statement, “It has been truly an honor to serve as Enfield’s Town Manager for the last nine years. I appreciate the opportunity that was given to me by the Town Council and have enjoyed the privilege to lead such a talented and dedicated team of town employees in providing the highest level of services to our community.

Lincoln Park is a city of 38,144 in southeast Michigan, near Detroit.
