Enfield Trash Pickup Schedule Altered Again

ENFIELD, CT — Trash pickup and recycling in Enfield, which is already delayed a day due to the Monday holiday, will be further affected by the pending snowstorm predicted to hit the area Thursday morning.

The Enfield Public Works Department informs residents who normally have trash pickup and recycling on Wednesdays, which is scheduled for Thursday this week due to the holiday, that pickup will still be made Thursday. However, due to the anticipated weather, residents are asked to have their tipper barrels out no later than 5 a.m. Thursday, because crews will be picking up earlier than usual.

Also, once residents' tipper barrels are picked up, they are being asked to remove them from the road as soon as possible to avoid any issues with snow plows.
