Enfield Utility Line Warranties are Optional
Letters are being sent offering water and sewer service line warranties.

Enfield residents have already begun receiving offer letters for water service line warranties and will soon begin receiving offer letters for sewer service line warranties.
These programs have been sponsored by the Town with Utility Service Line Partners (USP), a firm promoted by and affiliated with the National League of Cities, of whom Enfield is a member.
“These warranty offers are completely optional,” states Derrik Kennedy, Assistant Town Manager for the Town of Enfield. “Repairs to these lines can be onerous to residents and we thought it would be beneficial for them to have the option of a low-cost warranty.”

The program provides coverage up to $4,000 per repair incident, with an additional allowance for public street or sidewalk cutting, and has no annual or lifetime limits, service fees or deductibles. Both the water and sewer line warranties are primarily for single-family homes, as USP’s terms and conditions state they do not cover rental or commercial properties, line to multiple properties or branch lines, mobile homes, updating or moving of lines, or damage to the lines caused directly by the homeowner.
“We are pleased to partner with Enfield to offer our service,” said Brad Carmichael, Vice President of Business Development for SLWA. “SLWA provides first-class customer service with a 24/7 repair line and the use of licensed and thoroughly researched local contractors – keeping dollars in the local economy.”
