Enfield Woman Charged With Threatening Man With Hammer
Monday's incident marks her third arrest in the past three weeks.

ENFIELD, CT - For the third time in as many weeks, Enfield police arrested a local woman Monday, this time for threatening to strike a man with a hammer.
Carmen Pikul, 52, of 41 Asnuntuck St., was charged with violation of a protective order, second-degree threatening, carrying a dangerous weapon and second-degree breach of peace.
She was held on $25,000 bond, and was scheduled to be arragined Tuesday in Enfield Superior Court.

Deputy Police Chief Gary Collins said officers were dispatched to Asnuntuck Street with a report that Pikul was threatening someone with a hammer. A man told police he and Pikul had a verbal argument which turned physical when Pikul grabbed the hammer, which he was able to wrest away from her.
The man has a current protective order against Pikul, Collins said.

Judicial records show Pikul was arrested May 2 on charges of third-degree assault against an elderly/other victim, interfering with an emergency call and disorderly conduct. On May 12, she was arrested and charged with violation of a protective order.
She had been free on bond, and was scheduled to return to court June 1.
