ENFIELD, CT — A woman wanted on a felony warrant by Enfield police was detained early Monday morning at Bradley International Airport.

Melanie Lafountain, 25, was taken into custody by state police at the airport after they notified Enfield authorities she had been detained shortly after midnight.

An active warrant for her arrest has been in effect since an assault took place in mid-August on North Street in Enfield. A man told police he had been assaulted by a black male and a white female, who was determined to be his former girlfriend, Lafountain, resulting in a badly swollen eye, Police Chief Carl Sferrazza said.
