Benefit for Summer Escape

Skater City to Host Benefit Night for Summer Escape

            ENFIELD--Skater City, located at 138 South Road, Enfield, will host a fundraiser to benefit the ERfC Summer Escape Scholarship Fund on Friday, April 27th from 6:00PM – 9:00PM. 

            $5.00 from the regular Skater City admission fee of $15.00 will be donated to the scholarship fund. Evening activities include roller skating, laser tag, black light mini golf, and arcade games. In addition, a Family Pass to Skater City and other items for raffle.

            Summer Escape is a six-week day camp for Enfield kids entering grades 1-8 in fall 2012. The camp provides hours of recreational, cultural, academic, science, and enrichment activities. This year, the day-camp will operate from July 2nd though August 10th and will include field trips to Lake Congamond in Southwick, MA, a Rock Cats Baseball game day, and Family Fun Fridays.

            Summer Escape, located at JFK Middle School, will operate from 8:15 AM – 3:00 PM.  Busing is provided to and from the camp, and breakfast, snacks, and lunch are included. An extended day to 5:00 PM is also available.  The Summer Escape Scholarship Fund provides financial assistance, based on need, so all children have an opportunity to attend.

            ERfC, a community-based non-profit organization, has been providing innovative after-school programming to the Enfield Community since 1994. ERfC programs are funded through grants and community donations.
