August 30, 2011 - The Enfield Public Schools will be hosting Family Day on the Town Green, Sunday, September 18 from 11:30 – 4:00. This annual event is being held with the sponsorship of LEGO Children’s Fund. Families can enjoy a day of free entertainment, contests, inflatables and activities. Many local community organizations will have information booths. School and community groups will be fundraising by selling food, doing crafts and having games to play. Come out and run a 1k Kids Run, enter a Sidewalk Chalk Contest, participate in the Elk’s Soccer Shoot Out and help to break the Guinness World Record of 1,223 Zumba® dancers. The police will be doing fingerprinting for ID kits and car seat safety checks, and the Rotary Club of Enfield will be signing children up for the Amber Alert Child ID Program.
