Visit the Enfield Public Library on Wednesday, May 9th at 7:00 PM for Fashion in Fiction presented by Kandie Carle and sponsored by the Enfield Cultural Arts Commission.
Fashion in Fiction is a fun and delightful show-and-tell on the clothing of Regency England as reflected in Jane Austen’s fiction. Historical performance artist, Kandie Carle will dress in authentic Regency attire and give an overview of the clothing of the Regency Era. She will also highlight Jane Austen’s use of clothing and fashion in her novels to define character, enhance story line, and develop plot points. Teens through adults will love discovering just how important fashion was 200 years ago!
