Ice Skating School at Enfield Twin Rinks invites skaters interested in learning to skate to a free open house in honor of US Figure Skating National Skating Months Celebration on Ice.
Starting at 4:00 p.m. we will hold an off ice orientation about our programs here at Enfield Twin Rinks, a parent
informational session, meet our coaches/instructors, get fittted for skates, talk about ice safety, and get ready for a free group lesson on the ice. The on ice portion from 4:15 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. will include a 30 minute group lesson
with our coaches. Students will be divided by ability then age. The last 15 minutes will be a freetime, with on ice games, and demonstrations by local skaters. We will have a raffle and door prizes available. Rental skates are free
for this event and are on a first come, first serve basis.
We have both figure skates and hockey skates available. Every skater will need to be listed on a roster by emailing Kathy Piteo, Skating Director at kpiteo@etrinks.com. Each skater will need a parent with them at the rink and sign a waiver. Skaters age 3 and up that are interested in learn to skate lessons are welcome. All skaters ages 7 and under are required to wear a helmet and should dress like they are going out to play in the snow. Older skaters helmets are recommended and wear comfortable layers of clothing.
Don't forget mittens or gloves. Come join us in learning the FUNdamentals of ice skating whether wanting to skate for recreation or move into competitive or team skating. This event is open to those who want to learn to skate whether for figure skating or hockey skating.
