Organizing Meeting for 2011 Wreaths Across America Ceremony

  • A planning meeting for the 4th Annual Wreaths Across America Ceremony will be held at 7:00 p.m. this coming Thursday, October 6, 2011 in the Enfield Room of Enfield Town Hall.

Each year since its inception, this community event has increased in size and scope, and it requires the efforts of many people to make it successful.

The ceremony itself will be held at Noon on Saturday, December 10, 2011 at St. Patrick's Cemetery (new) on Route 5 in Enfield. Seven ceremonial wreaths (one for each branch of the military) will be laid beside the veteran's monuments. The purpose of the ceremony is to honor, remember, and teach about those who are currently serving in the military, those who served in the past, and those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Any individual or civic or veteran's organization is welcome to attend or send a representative.
