Fall Festival and Homecoming Set at Asnuntuck Community College
A plethora of events are slated for Oct. 16 at the college.
Asnuntuck Community College and the Town of Enfield will come together to offer a Fall Festival and Homecoming Event on Friday, Oct. 16, on the front lawn of the college at 170 Elm St., Enfield.
Vendors who have participated in the Town of Enfield’s Community and Farmers Market throughout the season will be on hand to sell their wares, including Silvia’s International Restaurant, selling bread and fried dough, until dusk. In addition, several musical performers are on the schedule. Local favorite Spiral Logic will perform from 4-6 p.m, Jared Tittle will play classic acoustic rock from 6-7 p.m. and Just Jeannie, with her eclectic pop, country and classic rock selections, is scheduled from 7-9 p.m.
Sample beer from Enfield’s own Powder Hollow Brewery from 4-9 p.m.; beer will also be available for sale. Wine tasting from Lost Acres will take place from 5-7p.m.

The Asnuntuck Community College Foundation will sponsor a Retiree Reception at 4 p.m. and Alumni Social at 6 p.m. All alumni attending the event will receive a free ACC Alumni mug. An Alumni Art Show will be open to the public, and ACC’s Massage Therapy students will give free chair massages that night.
Students and staff from the college are planning a week-long service learning trip to the Be Like Brit orphanage in Grand Goave, Haiti for Spring Break. The group will be spending time with the 66 children who live at the orphanage and will build a home for someone in the Grand Goave community. As a part of the Festival and as a means to raise money for the trip, Henna hand artwork will be available for purchase, and a wrist band for unlimited climbs on a rock wall will also be for sale, in addition to other donating opportunities.

As part of the evening’s festivities, the Valley Repertory Company will present “Murder, You Must be Kidding”, at 7 p.m. on Asnuntuck’s stage. Tickets will be on sale that night.
